Eventful Flight

MIL arrived yesterday from johor. FIL went to fetch MIL from the airport, where she is supposed to arrived at 3.35 pm by airasia. but he called me to inform me that flight has been delayed due to some problems with the plane, so an emergency landing was made in sibu. and she arrived in miri at 1 am in the morning. crazy, huh?! the flight which was supposed to be only 2 hours from johor bahru took 13 hours. phewwww...what a nightmare. as for the airasia management, personally i think they did not handle it very well. why? cos when we first went to check with them, asking when they will arrived, they told us that they can't confirmed anything yet. so ok, we went home and wait. then we went to check again at aroung 6 something, they told us, estimate to arrive around 11pm. mind you, is "estimate", ok? so after dinner FIL and BIL went to the airport and waited there while KJ and me headed home first. at around 10 pm we headed back to airport again to wait. the arrival schedule show that arrival time for the flight will be 11.05 pm. ok, so we waited and waited walking to and fro. then again we went to checked the arrival schedule. to our dismay, the arrival time changed to 11.45 pm. urrgghhh.. but no choice, we have to keep on waiting, rite? anyway, at around 11.30 pm we again went to check the schedule AND TO OUR DISMAY AGAIN, it reschedule to 12.15 am. and by that time, it is raining heavily. OMG, what the hell are they doing?! not professional at all. imagine how the passenger feels, having waited for around 8 hours before another plane to take them to miri, which only took 1/2 hour from sibu. whereas by bus, it took only 6 hours. finally, at around 12.30 am, emerged the passengers from the eventful flight. and finally,we saw MIL walked out. most of the passengers seem tired from all the waiting. from what we heard from MIL, the plane suddenly "drop" due to plane problems. the oxygen mask dropped out and the stewardess have to urge the passengers to wear it. the poor children in the plane does not know what is wrong and their ears are hurt because of pressure, can only keep on crying and crying while the stewardess pump oxygen to them. at least the cabin crews can keep their calm during this kind of emergency. BUT, again, this is their job, ok? but hopefully, for this kind of emergency, the management will do more and be more professional on how to handle it. anyway, if this happens to me, i will be scared stiff. hhhmmmm....


Dodo also waited with us at the airport. looking here, looking there...
