Hakka dish

this is what i have for lunch this afternoon. can see what is it? i think you all should know, right? it's a hakka dish , "lui cha". i dunno what it is called in english. anyway, it was super delicious an i miss it sooooooo much. i can't seem to find nice"lui cha" in miri which is as nice as the one in johor here. for me, i think the one in miri seem quite weird to my liking, especially the soup which has stong peppermint flavour.

come johor next time and i bring you all eat, ok? yum, yum.....

I am Back

yeah, i am back.. safe and sound (haha), but poorer (sigh).. AND FATTER (sobs). safe and sound = everything so far so good, poorer = spend so much on shopping, like never shopped before hehe, fatter = ate really a lot lor, super delicious food which can never be found in miri. so, now it's the time to get everything back to normal and "shape" before going back again during end of Oct. muahahahaha, another 2 months plus to go. have not post something for a week except a few paid post :P, because has been reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and just finished it yeaterday night. so, how is it? go over here if you want to know more.. hehe..

so what did i do over the last 2 weeks? basically it's eat, sleep, eat, yam cha, sleep.. enjoyed it very very much. and ohya, free from housework. hehe.. i tell you, i really dislike doing housework lor. i mostly stay at home and accompany my family especially my mum since i only got to go back for like 3 times a year. that's so little hor? anyway, i promised to post some pictures when i come back. so here are some of them.. (sorry, no singapore zoo's pics cos i forgot to save it from my mom's notebook)

oh yeah, did i ever tell you guys that kj's dog back at mil's house errmm.. hehe.. went next door to the neighbour's house and raped their dog? haha.. poor girl, i think she couldn't run away cos she was being tied up. ermm, come to think of it, maybe she like it also, yeah.. haha i shouldn't blame mil's dog. anyway, to cut the story short and fast foward 3 mths later, here's the result..

muahahahha... total should be 8 puppies, but my mil just took 6 puppies home and gave away 2 to her friends. she say should be responsible mah, since she's the "grandma" hehe. so, there's total 6 dogs at her house. she is still considering whether to take all or give away another 2 to her friends.. my fil already shake his head when he heard that she is going to keep all.. haha. btw, that's the father of the puppies in the last picture. but weird thing is, he seems not wanting to have anything to do with his kids, eh.. when the puppies go near him, he fast fast run away and won't even go near them. i told kj maybe he thinking, "one night stand only.. how come so many things come together wor", so, he's not taking any responsibility towards them...

next up is my dog at kulai. so this dog has become more mischevious.. terrible, man!! i dunno how to describe in words already lar, one word lor, hyperactive. but then, he's so fun to play with. pictures again..

i mentioned that i missed my hometown's food very much right? so i took these pics of my favourite food WHICH i ate for 4 consecutive days. hahaha.. it sooo nice, especially the minced meat. i ask the boss to add more minced meat for me. normally it's just a tiny bit only.. and i tell you again, it's super super yummy delicious. come look for me, i take you to eat it...

super lazy

has been almost a week i nv wrote anything or do any paid post. i have been super super super lazy this week and of cos, the big boss is back and i need to do something work for him. have been reading blogs though and of cos msning away.. nothing excited happens too.

another week. another week, i will be going back to johor. but hor, seems like 2 weeks is very very short. not enough time to do a lot of things. and i misssss the foods back in my hometown especially the "lui cha". drooling already now, thinking of the foods. i am getting sick of the food here already. not much varieties too. blehhhh...

Dumpling Festival

so today is the dumpling festival. dumpling festival is now not much celebrated. i still remember when i was still a kid, my paternal grandma will usually cooked a nice dinner for any festival and ask us go over to her house and have dinner. there will be the usual chicken, fish, duck, soup and veges. but now as my grandma is getting old, she can't find the strength to cook us dinner anymore. for me, i think my grandma cooks the nicest dishes of all. now, i kinda miss her cooking. but luckily, i guess that my aunts inherited her talents in cooking. so, i got to eat those nice dishes during chinese new year only.

back to dumpling. when i went to the market this morning, actually not only this morning lar, it's a few mornings before, almost all the stalls sell dumplings. this year, as we are not in hometown, we can't eat any homemade dumplings. only can eat those we bought outside. the taste is so so only. and i missed those dumplings made my aunts and relatives. arghhh, thinking of them makes me drools. anyway, i have been eating a dumpling for my lunch for ermm, 4 days straight. but i still can eat it as i really really like to eat it. LOL!!! i am not getting tired of it.. haha.. anyway, HAPPY DUMPLING FESTIVAL!!!

backdated post : Hari Gawai

the whole family went to visit the Ibans on Gawai Day which is on the 1st of June. we set off in the morning at about 9.30am AND we reached home at about 5pm. such a real long day and i was dead tired when i reached home. why does it took us so long? cos as you know, the Ibans live in a long house. and there are a total of 38 families lived in a long house. we only visited about 7 families and it already took us almost 1 whole day. so if you say we visited all the 38 families, how long will it took us? hahaha.. i think 5 days can finish lar.

at each family, they served us almost the same kind of foods BUT there is something different at each family. guess what? my apologies if you think i am too "wu liao". but i got nothing to do while the fil and the Ibans yak and yak and yak non stop. my mil, bil and kj also just sat down, almost doze off, i think. ok ta da.. here's is it, (actually should have 7 pics but the 1st pic i never take cos just reached there mah, so not bored at all)......

muahahahaha, i kept going to the washroom while i was at the longhouse. ehh, total 7 types of drinks all mixed up in your stomache and colors somemore. how can i stand it... and the 1st drink i never take photo one is red in color. and my fil total drank 7 cans of beer., duhh, dunno how he can stand it. anyway, more photos on what they served us.

i like the cakes although i never touch even 1 piece. don't you think it's so pretty? it's so colourful. i wonder how they make it lehh? i know nothing about baking. bake layer by layer? if really do it layer by layer, isn't it tooo much of work? actually they served us more than this. i tot i got other pics of the food but when i browse my pics, i only got these 3 pics. aiisshh, wasted.
